Going to start upping my mileage per day/week. So first day of adding 7s. Going to see how it works. Went 5 laps around the park. Wasnt sure what I wanted to do tonight besides adding more mileage so after the first mile came in a bit faster then recovery just went with what felt good. So first couple around 8 and few just under. It felt good and the temp was just right.

Had a good run today. Went for a tempo run for the most part. Had one bad mile in the middle. Of where I was going to slow down and then decided to make the last a cool down. Splits are.. 7:45, 6:52, 7:07, 7:14, 7:53, 7:28, 7:36, .6 cooldown Had one mishap on the run. Right around mile 7 hit a couple pinecones and have a bit of a limp in my ankle for say. Going to take some drug and stretch it good. And see how it goes.

| Rest day. Felt good this morning just didnt reset my alarm for the right time to get up to run. The ankle started acting up for no reason around 3pm and felt better by 4. I am not sure wearing cowboy boots though to my daughters daddy daughter hoe down thing was such a great idea. OUCH that line dancing can get crazy in boots. Hopeful no damage done. Will pass on tomorrows morning run most likely if I can walk in the morning. |

| Rest day again today. My ankle has a few times flared up in pain for no really reason. But it sounds like just a minor strain. But from what I have read on it too. I should be able to run slowly tomorrow so I am going to get out and run. And see how it goes. Just nice and easy. And I will avoid those crazy pinecones now too. Oh as for the lighting at the park. The lights have been turning on right as I get there. So have had the lights on for the whole run. Just not inbetween some trees. |

Wanted to try the old ankle out today. And it worked. Had a good run around the block. Looked like I just missed a car on fire by a few mins. Cops and fire engines all over. Crazy crazy. But was able to have a great run. My ankle just felt slight pain like 3 times the whole run and only for a moment like I stepped on it wrong. Splits are...8:52, 8:49, 8:26, 8:16, 8:15, 7:45. The 2nd loop of the run felt pretty good. And I attacked the hills with no problem. Wasnt any speed work just a good solid pace going up them and held that pace up the hill and felt good and strong at the top. It was also a beautiful morning to be out running. For a good recovery run.

Decided to let the sun come up so it would warm up some. So slept in till 7ish and got started at 8. Decided to run down to the park and do a few laps and then come back home. So steep hill the first 1.6 and steep coming back home. Kept the first 2 nice and slow. Tried to maintain a good 7:40-8:00 pace for the run. And then keep the last 1.6 under 10:00. So will see how I did. Splits are 8:15, 8:08, 8:00, 7:56, 7:51, 7:53, 7:56, 7:39, 7:51, 7:55, 7:55, 8:06, 7:57(13.1 around 1:45) 8:21, 8:42, 9:49, 9:20. Started to fade a bit after the half way point in prep for the mean hills to come. Looks like I hit most of my goals for the run. The last .6 turned out alot stronger then I was hoping for at least. What a great morning for a run.
