AM- Hit the gym early for a speedwork.  Tried to stay up late and watch all of the Tour de France.  But I was dozing off for the last bit of it.  There sure was alot of big wrecks yesterday though.  Kind of crazy to see the top athletes crash and such in the big races like that.

Well back to the workout.  Today was 10-20 min warm-up then 5 x 1k @ 3:44(10:00) then 400m RI.  Followed up with a 10 min cold down.  Was able to get 4 in struggling with the last 2 and felt I was going to run out of time.  Since I had to shower at the gym and skipped the last one.  Ended up with 6.3 miles in around 53 mins.  Did 5 strides also in the warm up.

Nice job. I'm really liking doing speed work again. I put it off for way too long.

Very nice.

I have started looking at bikes -- dang they are expensive!

Mike- Working on it.:)

Tom- Thanks bro.

Dale- Yeah speed work is a pain getting back into. But great benefits from it though.

Teena- Oh you know it. You can get a cheaper one that will get you by. But for the most part if your going to do it I would go at least 1200 for a road bike and then if a tri bike. They are even more expensive. Now that I am more into it. I would get fit checked before even looking at a bike and then get something that fits you right and have it already set up right for you.
