AM-  Had a great ride to work again.  Looks like my cadence is working again on my bike so focused on keeping it between 65-80 unless going downhill.  When it gets a bit higher.  Had a rough side wind close to the end of the ride so just got down and dirty with it.  Looks like it paid off in the end.  I rode it in 27:22.  Which I believe is my fastest time so far going to work.  Will see how it goes home tonight in the heat.  The heat doesnt seem to bother me too much though.  Only when I have to stop at the lights do I notice it.  Also got in 2 sets before the boss showed up today too.

PM-  OH YEAH!!!  It was a bit hot and windy on the way home.  But turned out to be a great ride.  Had some mean head winds at the start and some crazy side ones that I thought were going to take me off into the  gravel a few times.  But in the end I did this one turned out to be my fastest ride so far going home.  21:06 OH YEAH!!  And felt stronger today all around.  Got to love days like today.

Your getting in some pretty good shape now. I am excited for your SGM this year. Sounds like your feeling pretty good also. Keep it fun, enjoy the ride.

"Also got in two sets before the boss showed up today."

(Sure hope the boss doesn't read your blog!!! :) Funny stuff!!!)

Nice job and congrats on the "biking to work" PR. :)

Way to go Mark!!! I am sure all this cross training will pay off big for you!

From Smooth on Mon, Jul 06, 2009 at 16:48:12 from 71.36.81.56

What a great way to cross train and save on gas, keeping the environment green, getting to work early enough that you can get "two sets" in before the boss show up. You're AWESOME!!! Your training is going so well. I'm so excited for you and MrsFIT running SGM this year!!!

Nice rides, Mark!!!

Hey, do you know if they have packet pickup the morning of the Bryce Canyon Half? I just got an email about the race, but it says the pickup is the night before from 4-10 pm in Cannonville. I don't know how my sister in law and I are going to get ours since we'll be in Cedar City.

Mike- I enjoy the xtraining. It really does help out a lot.

Teena- Hehe oh my boss watches me blog every once in a while on my breaks. He normally gives me time to finish up my set before sending us off to work which is nice.

Kathie- I am hoping so. I do feel alot stronger in my ankles and calves. Kind of the reason I started doing it more. But I must say what got me going again was the push-up challenge.

Smooth- It actually does help out alot on gas. And I dont know if I am saving tons by doing it. But it sure makes me feel better.

Bec- Bike riding is fun. But I do enjoy running more. Not sure which one I am better at yet. I just know the wife beats me on the bike.:)

MrsFit- I might but it wont happen till after I BQ.:)

Dale- Hmm Not to sure about the packet pick-up. I know its at cannonville. Like where it has been the last 2 yrs. So its where you end up at the end. If needs be you guys can have the wife and I pick them up for you. Just make sure your at the starting line early so I can give it to you and get in my warm-ups and such. Just let me know if you would like us to do it for you. And we will.:)
