PM1- Busy day at work.  So it was nice to get home and get in a run.  Today is speedwork.  So its 1 mile warm-up(with strides).  And then right into 4x 800 @ 3:13 with a 2 min RI.  And then 10 min cooldown.  Boy do I need to work on my speed.  This was another tough run.  But got her done.

Mile 1 8:50 With 2 strides.

4x 800 @ 6:24 pace(3:12) RI ran at 10:00 pace for 2 mins.

Mile 3.8-5.0 8:30 pace

TT 40:00 AP 8:00

PM2-  Went and played some bball to loosen up and get ready for the big game this weekend.  This weekends game is against our rival weekend.:)  We are playing the other team from our ward and is the last game of the regualar season.  So a big game.:)  Played for 2.5 hrs tonight.  Some of it half court and some full.  But never sat once which was really a nice workout.  Also was invited to play for the vets team in region.  Which would be 2 games in March.  I guess the vets are the old farts(35+)LOL and I am one now.

Nice workout Mark!

Way to get it done Mark. Intervals are my least favorite run.

I need to do my long run in the am on Saturday so that I can take my kids to a swimming lesson at 12:30. I'm leaving next week and won't be back til March, so how about a run in March?

Good run, those times look plenty fast to me. I think your bball is contributing to your training.

Good effort Mark.

Vinh- Thanks man. I just hate those speed workouts.

Fly- Sure March run will be awesome. I just have the Spectrum 10k going on then.

Flat- I sure hope that it is. Sure makes me feel thinner that is for sure. Just wish the scale was on the same page with me.

Paul- Thanks bro.

Missy- Is that were you train with the coach?? We will have to check it out. There is also some swim/bike/run store around there too that the wife is wanting to go to.

Powertri actually is a shop (in Lehi)..sells bikes, clothes, etc...Their website is www.powertri.com. If you want to speak with Heath sometime he's very personable..And knowledgeable and actually works I think 2 days a week or so at powertri for like 2 hours.

Oh and I train with the coach..he has a continuous pool at his home..if we need a "real" pool we have met at Gold's gym since we both have memberships there.

Oh I just found this email for Heath.....heath@powertri.com If you want to go and bug him! ;P

Very nice Missy.:) Really appreciate it. We will have to hook up with him. And the wife keeps talking about going to that store too. I would love to have one of those continuous pools too. Where to put it. Hmmm..

The more you do speed work, the easier it gets. And the easier slow runs feel.

From missy on Sat, Feb 06, 2010 at 00:10:40 from 71.32.197.192

Huans....For sure anytime. :)I don't really like the continuous pool but I guess you get used to it after a while..I have only been in it 3x. Go on a date with your wifey tomorrow for a mid-day date...Don't know if Heath is there on a Sat..think just T and TH afternoons...Those pools are surprisingly big...Back yard..lol.
