Ran on the JRP today with the wife and Teena.  Met up with her just after 5am.  Was good to see Teena out and running again.  Was hoping to see more of the Chumps that sometimes make it on Sat.  But it was just going to be us.  We did see JohnnieV on the way after our turn around at mile 3.  At mile 4 we split up to our own paces.  On this one I was shooting for 8:26 for the run.  First few was a good warmup and then picked it up.  Had my first issue around 12-13.  When one of my toes was giving another some grief.  I should really clip my toe nails before any long runs.  Finally took care of that problem at mile 15.  It was really throwing me off at that point.  Tried to finish strong but wasn't going to happen.  Just stopped at a few points in the parks to cool off with some water over my head.   Which was great.  Was tring to race home to go to a social with the Elders in the ward.  Which only made it for the last inning and made the breakfast though.:)  Then after that was off to go swimming with my Sister and her kids and mine.  Had a great time for about 2 hrs.  It was nice and relaxing.  Here are good and bad splits.

Not bad, not bad at all. Was this your first 20 miler? You did awesome. Sorry about the toe nails. Sounds like a good active day all around. Swimming is perfect for cooling and recovering after a long run.

Mark, your doing great. Get a few more long runs in and you will be finishing much stronger. With all the core work, once you build a little more base, you will be a complete Beast! Keep grinding Bro.

Mark, nice job. Keep it up. Maybe I'll get out and see you Chumps sometime.

Mark,

I should have stayed with you. In fact, I kept you within 50 yards or so until Walden Park where I saw someone I knew and talked for a second. Then I figured you were way too far ahead, and I turned around not too long after that. So stupid. We should have just stuck together ... oh well.

I have to say that I was so so so grateful to see you and Kristi!!!! Your wife is GREAT. You two fit perfectly!!!

Paul,

You should definitely come. It's a lot of fun when you get the whole group together. Plus, you already know so many of us ... Johnny V, Mark, Kristi, Pearmain, me ... and possibly even more. I know you are a TM junkie ... but it really is fun. If you want to send me your email address I can put you on the email notifications that will hopefully soon begin to circulate.

Smooth- First one sice Ogden and only got on in before Ogden. So feeling good about it. Not sure if it was just that it was my first 20 in the cycle. Or I shouldnt have rode my bike and worked out some the day before. Since I normally take a break. This Fri for sure I will rest since we will be driving down to Bryce for the race.

Mike- Yeah I just need to build up that endurance. 4 more 20s should do the trick before SG.:)

Paul- That would be awesome Paul. The more the merrier. And it would be good to have someone to run with once warmed up.

Teena- Great job on your run and everything else you did. I sure hope we can get the rest of that group of yours together. It is always better to run with people.

Great job on the 20 miler Mark. Keep building that base and these 20 milers will only get easier.
