AM-  Early morning run today.  It was a good tempo run.  2 miles easy 2 tempo at 6:45 and then 2 easy.  Thought it was a different one.  But was only a 6 miler.  Felt nice out there and really enjoyed it.  Had a hard time hitting the first tempo mile.  Partly due to not seeing my splits in the dark.  But hit the 2nd one just right.  So felt good about it.  Will try to get in a few sets of my circuit at work.

Mile 1 9:18

Mile 2 8:30

Mile 3 7:02

Good tempo miles - is this all part of the training plan for the SGM BQ time?

From Rhett on Wed, Jun 17, 2009 at 16:53:08 from 170.215.58.122

Those tempo runs are going to help you maintain that marathon pace you need for your BQ. Good job.

MikeW- Getting there.

Teena- Wish I would of got it on both miles. Argh!!:)

Mike- Thanks man.

Timp- Yep following the FIRST training plan. Run 3 days xtrain 2 others. Speedwork, tempo and long. All at set paces but the easy miles. And that is for the 3:15 BQ training.

Rhett- Yeah I enjoy the tempo runs alot more then those speed workouts. Next one will be the 1 easy 5 at the 7:26 and then 1 easy. We will get there.
