Did my first day of week 5 of the push-up challenge. Sets were as follows.. 36, 40, 30, 24 and maxed at 40.  After a 3 min rest after set 4 moving onto 5.  This challenge has been tough but I am feeling alot stronger from it already.  Day 2 will have alot more sets just alot less reps.  Should be interesting to see how it goes.:)

Went for a windy run.  But the temps were good.  Ran with my friend Jared.  Wasn't really a recovery run with some of the miles and head/tail winds.  So here are the splits..

Mile 1 8:30

Mile 2 7:55

Mile 3 8:04

Mile 4 8:25

Mile 4.33 8:10

AP 8:14 TT 35:36

Great job on the PC. I haven't kept up on it as much as I would like to. The thought of maxing out at 40 scares me.

Bec- Well I do see that I am improving that is what keeps me going. You can do it just keep at it.

I had a hard weekend and I miss Fridays push-ups and the end of week four test so I think I will start week 4 again tonight but you are doing great!

how is the running going?

Kathie- Running is going great. I am planning on running tonight. Sorry to hear you missed some of your routines. But I am sure that wont last long. You are so good about getting in your workouts.

I need to start back on the pushup challenge again. Time to get the body in shape. It is amazing how quickly the body adapts if we don't give into it - isn't it?

So true same with running as in push-ups or anything else for that matter. The body is a amazing thing.

Looks like a nice run with and getting to do it with a friend makes it all that much better.

Mark,

Glad to hear your running is going good. I did my PC too. I agree week 5 is hard. I look back now though and realize I could barely do 20 the first week so yes, we are getting stronger.

Hey, let me know what time you want to meet/start on Sat. You and GF have to drive. I'm flexible and live only 10 min away. I'm putting the words out so hopefully more will join us this Sat. The more the merrier.
