Went for a run after work with my nephew Alex. He ran a couple 5ks in the last 2 yrs or so. And was in a competition with the ROTC.  Where he ran a 5k with a 20 lbs pack.  So thought I would do some running with him if he was up for it.  He lives about 2.46 miles from my place.  So picked him up and ran to his place and then back to the 6 mile loop.  He ran very well and I was impressed.  Looks like I might have some to run a few lower miles with a couple times a week.:)  So had a good chat with him and run.  Was around 40 degrees and a breeze.  The distance is off by .2 and for the last mile reset it to get a fast final mile.

A new running buddy is a fine thing.

I'm still wishing you hadn't moved so far south, makes runs with old timers harder to fit in. Speaking of which, what sort of runs do you have planned for this weekend?

From Huans32 on Wed, Nov 18, 2009 at 09:01:42 from 138.64.2.76

Allie- Thanks it was nice. Haven't ran with him before and hope to do it agian soon.

Mike- :)

Kathie- He is built for running. Lean and gangly.

Dale- :)

Rhett- Yeah hopefully will run with him on Wedn. too. I am not sure if his friend that is a girl is coming this time too.:) Will see.

Fly- Hmm I have nothing planned specific this weekend. You up for a run again?? I wouldn't mind getting in a long one. No flag football or basketball yet.:)

Mark,Unfortunately my wife has a work meeting from 8-10 Saturday morning. So I'd have to be on the road before 5 am or after 10. Also there is a 50% chance of snow changing to a 50% chance of rain as the morning progresses. So I'm leaning toward a long run on Friday. I'm assuming you work Friday?
