What a nice and cool day.  And great day for a run.  Didnt get much sleep last night.  About 10 I got a call from my mom saying my grandma wasnt going to be around much longer.  So I headed over to see her.  She wasnt is in her last few days or even hrs.  So sat with her for about 45 mins till I was about to leave she didnt really notice me.  But as I was getting up to leave she woke up and started talking with me.  And wanting hugs and kisses.  It was nice to see her.  Got home around midnight so a bit late.

Well went down to Liberty Park and tried to keep with marathon pace after the first mile.  And felt pretty good.  Had to push it a bit more on one mile.  And really tried to make up for it on the last mile.  Overall was a good run.

Mile 1 8:16

Mile 2 7:27

Great workout Mark. So sorry to hear about your Grandma. I hope things go well with her. My prayers are with you and your family.

Thanks man. My dad is very close to her. And she has always been very supportive of me in everything. She just loves my pic I gave her of my first marathon last yr. It sits by her bed even. Running has helped me get through alot and I am sure it will help me with this too.

Nice job on the tempo run, way to crush that last mile and get the sub-7. Sorry to hear about your Grandma.

Mark, that is tough with your grandma. Always hard to see your loved ones grow old. Try to keep a positive outlook. Also, very nice workout. Very good sign when your last mile is your fastest.
