I have really needed to get in some long runs if I plan on running a marathon in 4 weeks. My recovery has been going well and so just building up miles for this coming race. Needed to do a good long run though. So we went out with the hopes of getting in a 16 miler. We had the girls this weekend and added to the challenges of everything. The morning was gorgeous and temp was just right. Wore just shorts and long sleeve shirt with gloves. Didnt peel off the gloves till around mile 11 but felt great the whole time. We just plugged along. Did get a hot spot going around mile 8 and was tried to ajust it a few times. Did really end with a blister. Figure I need to cut more on soles for my orthotics to fit right. We got 12 miles nice and easy. Then miles 13-14 were in the 9:15-20 range. So talked MrsFit into kicking it up for the last 2 miles. We hit them at 8:15-19 range so felt really good about this run. MrsFit is going to do awesome at the half. As for my marathon I am going to just make it a good long run without much taper is how I see it at the moment.

Yep Ogden is the next one on the to do list. Should be a good race. Not that I am in great running form right now though.
