Nice early morning run.  Got up at 3:30 again to get this one in.  Temps were in the 52-4 range.  With a nice slight breeze.  Almost perfect running weather.  I put on gloves and long sleeve shirt.  The gloves were nice but the shirt could of been a singlet.  Todays run is tempo run.  With 2 miles warm-up 3 @ 6:45 pace and 1 mile cooldown.  Not many cars on the road today made it nice.  And it was nice having 2 miles to warm-up.  Was still trying to get on pace the first mile and then started hitting it on the 2nd coming in stronger and last I just pushed it hard.  Felt really good on that last mile.  Then relaxed on cooldown.

Mile 1 8:46

Mile 2 8:12

Mark, great run! Your looking real strong and seem ready to get this thing going. I am excited to run with you. I should say as long as I am able to keep you in sight anyway.

From Huans32 on Thu, Sep 24, 2009 at 08:28:56 from 138.64.2.76

Oh I am sure you will be able to keep up and stay in sight. We will make it bro. Little more tapering and we should be good to go.

Nice job, Mark!!! I believe you are ready for SGM. Bring on the BQ!!!

From Smooth on Thu, Sep 24, 2009 at 15:50:24 from 97.117.81.161

I like tempo more than speedwork too. YOU DID AWESOME on today's tempo. Hitting your pace progressively faster. You're SO READY! Can you taste that BQ? 9 days! WooHoo!

From timp on Thu, Sep 24, 2009 at 15:55:47 from 129.188.33.25

Funny - I dread both tempo AND speedwork... :)

From Rhett on Thu, Sep 24, 2009 at 15:56:29 from 74.32.218.117

I can't wait until I can do tempo work and speed work again!!!!!

From Huans32 on Thu, Sep 24, 2009 at 16:39:43 from 138.64.2.76

Rhett- Yeah or at least close.

Jon- WE will get there man. One mile at a time.

Dale- I sure hope I am ready. Come on BQ.

Smooth- I will be hoping to taste it around mile 25-6. Not till then.

Tim- Well out of all 3 I enjoy the long runs much more. And would easily trade a speed workout for a long run any day.

Rhett- Oh you will be there soon enough man. Your looking like your well on your way back and strong too.
