Not sure what I did on Sat as the day progessed I got a horrible pain in my back like it was out.  So I kept tring to pop it.  It was right in between my shoulder blades.  And was giving me a horrible headache.  Sunday comes around and it only was getting worse.  The pain was now in the front and the back.  And was making it hard to breath at times.  Couldnt get comfortable at all.  Blowing my poor runny nose was painful too.  My brother is a massage therapist and had him come and try to put it back in or something.  Well 2 hrs later and alot of getting worked over and talking.  It was all coming from that wonderful ankle I twisted and still having some issues with I guess.  Gave me a bunch of stretches for my ankle and excercises for that.  And also for different ways to strengthen this and that.  My shoulders were really tight and sore with the headache was due to the stress still from that ankle.  It is just amazing to me how much our body is connected to other parts of it.  So I am still icing it and tring to work all the rest of my body that is being over worked  due to that wonderful ankle of mine.  As for starting Ogden training I am still not sure if I will or just back off still and do some shorter distances and just have SGM as my main race for this yr.  We will just have to see how my body is doing.  I am not to worried though.  My body can sure use a good rest and sounds like a good lot of stretching.

Yoga! Yoga! Yoga! Teena introduced me to AM/PM yoga by Rodney Yee. You can get it from Target for under $20. I've been using it to help me relax, stretch and increase proper posture. Give it a try.

It's interesting how stress in any form effects our bodies in more ways than we realize. Take good care and get that ankle healed up. Nice to have a brother who give you some rehab therapies. GOOD LUCK!

Holy Cow, Mark!!! That type of back pain is not fun. I've been there. It was just after I started running a couple of years ago and I thought I was having a massive heart attack or a stroke. It hit so suddenly. I couldn't breathe and it dropped me to my knees.

I hope you can get that ankle all healed up. Maybe you SHOULD just pass on Ogden so you can get back to 100%

Take care.

Glad to hear fom you Mark, but wish you were doing better. You are probaly compensating for the bum ankle when you run and that is throwing everything out of wack. I noticed I am running totally different than normal with my bum foot.

Mark that sucks!! I hope your back is feeling better and that ankle of yours starts to improve. Keep the RICE going. I agree that one injury not taken care of can lead to another injury in a totally different area due to our bodies ability to compensate. Get well soon and continue to take it easy.
