Saw a post about Ogden's half being full.  And talked to someone in church on Sunday that is planning on running Ogden full.  And thought oh yeah I can still do that.  I will just change it from a BQ attempt another enjoyable race.  Something I am learning more and more is that running is something I enjoy doing and not something I have to do.  So I signed up for the Full with 14 weeks to get ready.  Totally doable and so I am going to shoot for it.  Doubt I will be ready for a BQ.  Or if I am going to even PR at it.  But I am going to enjoy getting back up to marathon speed and ready for all the other smaller races I plan on running this year.  With still SGM as my goal to BQ there.  Will get out tonight for a run in the snow.

PM-  Went for a 4 miler today.  Nice and recovery run in the wind.  Wasnt to bad.  Going to take it nice and easy for a couple weeks.  I got a 10k this weekend.   2 weekends after that a 15k and then another 10k.  So another 4 then 8 for weekend.  And slowly get it back up with 3 days a week running is the plan.  Should work nice and easy.  Ankle hurt first few houses then relaxed it more and it was good.  Seeing a Doc on Monday about it.

Kimmy, Cristy and I are doing the half. Cristy almost didn't get in... I am so glad we registered early.

Sweet good to hear I might see you guys at the packet pick up again this year. Doubt I will at the finish line. Last year if I remember right the full filled up first then the half.

From Teena on Mon, Feb 09, 2009 at 15:40:39

I can't believe how fast that filled up! Craziness I tell you! Funny thing is that I was thinking about switching my full to the half ... guess that is not going to happen. If you decide to run it slow we could perhaps run it together.

Mark, looks like you've got a good plan. I agree running for the sake of running can be pure joy.

Consider this a friendly kick in the pants :)

OK Mark, you put your money down now it's time to get ready so you have an enjoyable race. I don't know if you've recorded all your mileage here but your log only shows 22 miles for the YEAR. You only have 14 weeks to build your base back up, and you better do it carefully so you don't get hurt. It is time for left, right, repeat..... Get to it!!

I was going to say the same thing as Teena, that maybe we could run together, but your slow run would be my fast run and then I wouldn't make it to the end.

Ogden is a great course for the full.
