Bit windy out there today.  And wanted to get in a run outside before the storm hit.  Been reading a new book the wife gave me called Chi-running.  So practiced some of the stuff on the run.  So kept focusing on my posture, breathing, relaxing and picking up my feet.  And it turned out really good.  Felt really good running the first 1.5 into the wind and half uphill.  Kept cycling through those 4 things.  And learned a lot on the run.  Felt really relaxed and was suprised to hit some fast miles.  Yet it still felt like a really good recovery run.  And on the last 1.5 miles felt really good running into the wind again.  Seems like a really good book and looking forward to using some of the stuff in the next run.

Nice job, Mark-O. I've heard about that book and I'm thinking of getting it. But maybe I should finish reading all of my other running books first.

Let us know how Chi running turns out for you, but take it slow on changing your running form. I heard of people jumping in and trying it all out at once and getting injured. Also, are those compression socks in your new photo? Do they seem to do anything for you?

Looks like you are about recovered. So what is your next race?

Dale- Yeah it seems pretty good. And my hip flexor is a bit sore from the new form. It has helped in some areas and such.

Rhett- Yeah I hear you. I am working on just a few things at a time. I have been doing part of what its been talking about and can see where it will help out. With focus and staying relaxed. That has been what I have been working on the last 5-6 months. So now I have something specific to work on.

And yeah they are compression socks that I am wearing. They do seem to help with my calves and such. But dont like how they are so thin. And wore a 2nd pair of socks to make it feel right. We are looking into getting sleeves so you can wear whatever socks you want. But they do seem to help.

Kathie- Well been kicking around a Nov-Dec marathon. Might do CIM with Slick. And will be doing a turkey trot in Sandy. Nice flat course that I got my 20:00 at. Going to go sub 20 if I dont run a marathon that is.

Mark!!

Very nice.

I tried to change my form though and it totally messed me up!! Who knows, I would have likely been messed up anyway! :)
